Last Brothers' Bus Trip

On Sunday the 30th of September 2012, we headed off to Purling Brook Falls at Springbrook, Southeast QLD (behind the Gold Coast). It was a wonderful day, nice weather, good food, great company and Sheik Abshir from Moorooka IQRA centre gave us an inspiring talk.

These trips are organised every couple of months and have been going for over a year. Some of the destinations have been; Springbrook, MtCrosby, Mt Coolum, Currumbin Rock Pools and Glass House Mountains. These are day trips for men and sons and usually incorporate a bushwalk, in the summer months we go swimming as well. These are popluar events and are limited to 35 - 45 persons (depending on buses available). We notify brothers by text message so if you are interested please email us with your details and we will put you on our contact list when the next trip is organised. We go on a first in, first booked method. This makes it fair on all brothers. Buses usually leave from the Kuraby Masjid, Brisbane (situated next to the Kuraby railway station). Our cost for these day trips are only $10.00 per seat. This covers all travel, hot yummy lunch and drinks.

MRN channel on Islam TV

BASIC PRINCIPLES OF ISLAM COURSE
The Basic Principles of Islam for New Muslims course presented by MRN was held between September 10th and October 22nd, 2011. Al hamdu lillah participants said they enjoyed the course, gained beneficial knowledge about Islam, and said they would recommend the course to other reverts.
Thank you and may Allah reward all those who helped with the set up and smooth running of the course; as well as the lecturers who contributed their time and expertise, and were welcomed each Saturday by participants eager to expand their knowledge on Islam.
FUTURE ACCESS TO COURSE LECTURES
Thanks to Islam TV, MRN now has a dedicated channel where people can view various lectures from the Basic Principles of Islam course. In sha Allah this will be of great benefit to those participants unable to attend all the lectures, as well as the general public.
